Alaska Day 2

Borrowed the Diekgreaff's car for the trip.  Went shopping for supplies and got a licence.  Went to walmart, Fred Myer, Cabelas, Bass pro Shops, REI, and finally back to Walmart.  (It took forever to find a camp stove.  Took about 4 hours of hunting to find one!!!!)

Finally headed to Hope to fish for Pinks.  Interestingly they were colour sensitive -- didn't like yellow or red, but liked chartreuse or pink!  Also, the sink tip line  didnt really work.  (Later I found that despite everyone saying you only need a short leader on sink tips, fish are actually line shy, and you need a good 3m leader!)

After Hope, moved on to the Russian River and set up camp.  Saw very few salmon but did see some large trout.
