A great camping trip with Cameron.  But the fishing was crap.  Cameron got 2.  I didn't get a touch in 2 days.

Rowed all over the lake in the pontoon boat.  I think the fishing is just as good from shore!

Why is the river high every time I go fishing!!!!

I didn't check the river flow.  River was high and dirty and I don't think I fished more than 20 minutes.

Posting after a year, I cant even remember this trip.  No fish pics, so I must have skunked!!!!

An OK Day

I'm trying to remember this day after a year!  I think I got 3.

First day of the season

Escaped robotics in the house to go fishing.  I really shouldn't have - the river was too high and cold.  Maybe one touch, but no action to speak of.  My favourite pools have changed -- yet again.

Alaska day 24

Last day of fishing. Lots of reds and silvers. Wanted to fish quartz creek, but the car had battery problems, so headed back to anchorage.

Also discouraged by the number of tourists with poor stream craft who insist on standing where the fish were, slowly pushing the fish away.

Alaska day 23

Fishing at 4 am may not have been my best idea. At 4:30 a second fisher arrived, who hogged the pool. Whats worse, I had a fish on, and couldnt bring it in unless it attracted unwanted assistance. At 5 a bunch more fishermen arrived, and I could wade back to shore from the middle of the Kenai.

Got a bunch of fish. There is a Silver Salmon with my $100 fly line swimming up river. I need to go to the tackle shop again. Met Grant as I walked back to the car to get a spare reel.

Had a fly over by a pair of F22 raptors.
